PAN (Poly Arteritis Nodosa) is een systemische vasculitis waarbij vooral de middelgrote en grote slagaderen ontstoken raken. In de aangetaste slagaderen komen vaak knobbels voor (nodosa). Opvallend is dat een aantal patiënten ook een chronische hepatitis-B infectie heeft (een leverziekte).
