On 7 November 2026, the Italian patient association APACS will bring people living with eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA), their families and specialist clinicians together in Milan for a day of learning and open discussion.
Vasculitis International is pleased to endorse this physician–patient meeting, organised by APACS, the Italian Association for EGPA patients, led by our VI colleagues Francesca Romana Torracca and Eugenia Durante.
Under the scientific coordination of Dr Marco Folci and Dr Giulia Gramellini, the programme starts with patients’ needs, fears and expectations. From there, it explores understanding EGPA, recognising possible relapses, monitoring organ involvement and making sense of treatment options.
Everyday life has a prominent place too. Sessions will address fatigue, pain, fear of relapse and quality of life, alongside practical topics such as work, travel and physical activity. Participants will also hear about clinical research and the role patients can play.
Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to ask questions directly. A closing roundtable will give patients and clinicians time to discuss anything that has not yet been covered.
